AFT Calculator — US Army Fitness Test

Our US Army Fitness Test (AFT) calculator is the final tool to calculate your score for the new Army Fitness Test (AFT) and determine if you'll meet the minimum AFT standards. It relies on the official Army AFT score charts provided by the US Army.

As of June 1, 2025, the Army Fitness Test scoring has replaced the previous US Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT calculator), which in turn succeeded the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT calculator). So this is the right tool if you want your performance to meet the new minimum Army AFT standards!

How to use this Army AFT calculator

Your details

  1. Select your age group.
  2. Select your AFT standard. Most soldiers and applicants will fall in the general (non-combat) category, but our army AFT calculator lets you choose "Combat" if that's the case.
  3. Input your sex.

Your performance

Here you'll enter your results for the five Army AFT events:

  1. MDL: Enter the maximum weight you successfully lifted for 3 consecutive reps, using proper technique. You can use either pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg) as your unit of weight.
  2. HRP: Enter the total number of hand-release push-ups you performed using proper form within the two-minute time limit.
  3. SDC: Enter your Sprint-Drag-Carry time for one complete lane (sprint, sled drag, lateral shuttles, kettlebell carry).
  4. PLK: Enter how long you held the plank, according to the official AFT rules.
  5. 2MR: Enter how long it took you to run two miles. If you have a medical condition that impedes executing the 2MR event, you'll be assigned a different event, so you must tick the "I have a medical condition that impedes me executing the Two-Mile Run event" checkbox.

Results

Finally, the AFT calculator will provide the score for each event and the total score of the test. You'll know if you passed the test or not!
