Omni by the Numbers
Many everyday decisions, from comparing mortgages to calculating a fitness target, come down to a mathematical formula. However, because dealing with raw equations can be intimidating or time-consuming, most people rely on guesswork instead.
That is where Omni Calculator comes in! We have put together a suite of free tools that do the math for you, turning complex formulas into clear, instant answers. What began in 2011 as a simple percentage calculator created by our founder, Mateusz Mucha, has steadily evolved into a global platform and a trusted, leading authority, helping millions solve everyday problems.
So, whether you are a journalist in need of a fact check or someone looking to make a well-informed decision, here is what it takes to power Omni Calculator.

Web traffic and server hits look great on a chart, but for us, those numbers only matter because they represent real people getting the answers they need. So far, Omni has run over 1 billion calculations, helping folks put their minds at ease and make sound decisions well over a billion times.
We owe that kind of scale to the 8 million unique users who visit us every month, generating up to 20 million total visits. They are real people with real problems to solve. A home buyer may be poring over a mortgage rate, a medical student needs to be sure of a drug dosage, or a cook in the kitchen wants to nail the baking ratio. When you break that total volume down, it means Omni is delivering 7 calculations every single second, around the clock, 365 days a year, without so much as a pause.
Our approach has never been confined to a single niche. We set out to calculate anything one could imagine. The result is a library of more than 3,800 free calculators of our own making, divided into 14 main categories.
Getting to this size has required a steady hand at the wheel. Over the past decade, we have averaged 1 brand-new calculator every single day. And while we make room for the odd highly specialized tool, it is our bigger, more popular toolboxes that do most of the heavy lifting:
- Mathematics: 670+
- Finance: 600+
- Physics: 540+
- Health: 430+
- Unit conversion: 320+
- Everyday life: 280+
Then there is the rest of the ecosystem with its own hubs for statistics, construction, sports, biology, chemistry, food, ecology, and other to cover all the bases. Explore these categories at the top of the page.
There are no borders or language barriers in math. Our users reflect that, and we see steady traffic from well over 190 countries. We have made a point of keeping our tools as accessible as possible by natively localizing and translating our most popular calculators into 9 different languages.
You will find Omni cited in more than 1,300 peer-reviewed papers, medical journals, and textbooks on Google Scholar. The academic community considers us a reliable reference because our formulas are put together from the ground up by credentialed specialists. That kind of mathematical soundness is what has global newsrooms turning to us when they need to put a story into perspective. Major publications such as The New York Times, WIRED, Forbes, The Guardian, have linked to or embedded an Omni tool to help their audiences get to grips with complex economic or scientific data. What sets us apart is our journey. For all the scale we have, we have done so without any major venture capital. We are completely bootstrapped; our growth comes from making things people want to use.
Our team has grown in much the same way our traffic has. In 2018, we were 5 people running the show. A year later, there were 24 of us. We are now close to 40 core members and a very tight-knit group.
We don’t think great talent is confined to one place, so you will find our team spread across 12 countries and 4 continents. We have put together a mix of top academics with hard-won doctorates and some fine polymaths to handle everything from cooking ratios to quantum mechanics.
We work in concert to make the world a touch more rational, one calculation at a time.
